Phone app for iPhone and Android
Record in-person meetings with your phone’s microphone.
What it does
- Records only when you press start, never automatically.
- Keeps recording with the app in the background or the phone locked. On iPhone, a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the elapsed time. On Android, an ongoing notification does.
- Pause and resume during the meeting.
- Uploads in the background. Audio stays on the phone until the upload is confirmed, so a dropped connection never loses a recording.
- Each recording becomes a meeting in your workspace with a transcript and summary, next to your desktop calls.
First recording
- 1Sign in with the same account you use on the web.
- 2Tap record and agree to the recording notice. It is shown once.
- 3Allow the microphone. On Android 13 or later, also allow notifications, so the timer shows while the phone is locked.
Recording length
- Record for at least a minute. Very short recordings are stored but not analysed.
- Recordings stop just before two hours. The app then offers to start the next part as its own meeting.
Tell everyone in the room that you are recording. Our guide to recording laws covers consent by country.
