AI Sales Coaching for a Team of 10 to 20 Reps
With 10 to 20 sales reps, a manager can easily have more recordings than time to review them. Buying an AI coaching tool only helps if it makes the weekly work easier: finding useful examples, preparing a session and checking what reps try afterwards.
Before comparing products, choose the part of that process you want to improve.
Pick a problem you can recognise in a call
“Improve sales performance” is too broad for a first trial. Choose something a rep and manager can both hear: an unanswered concern, a rushed explanation or an ending without a clear next step.
Find a few recordings that show the issue and a few that show it handled well. They give you a starting point for checking the tool's analysis. Include different reps and call types so one unusual conversation doesn't define the trial.
Let a few reps try it first
Include an experienced rep and someone who is still learning the process. Ask them to use the tool on the devices, meeting platforms and languages they normally work with.
For live guidance, check whether suggestions arrive at a useful moment and are short enough to read while listening. For post-call review, ask the manager to find a coaching example and follow it back to the recording.
Notice the work the tool creates as well as the work it saves. Correcting speaker labels or dismissing irrelevant prompts takes time.
Give coaching a place in the week
Set aside a short session to discuss one behaviour. Use a real example, let reps practise a response and agree what they will try on later calls.
In the next review, look for that behaviour again. If it hasn't changed, ask why. The suggestion may be hard to use, the example may not fit other calls or the team may need more practice.

Compare the plans your team would actually buy
Ask for the cost of your intended seats, recording volume and required features. Include onboarding, usage limits and any CRM work. Products often combine meeting notes, analysis and live assistance, so check the relevant plan rather than relying on the category name.
Give someone responsibility for access, device permissions and recording policy before expanding the rollout. A small team still needs those decisions.
Decide whether the trial earned a wider rollout
Review the results with the reps and manager. Could they find useful examples faster? Were live suggestions relevant? Did later calls show the behaviour they practised?
Those are useful early signals. Revenue results need more time and context, including lead quality and the sales cycle.
Teneks Sales combines desktop live guidance and recorded-call review. You can also review several recordings together to choose a coaching priority before introducing a wider routine.
Try it on a call of your own
Everything above is easy to claim and easy to check. Drop in a real recording (your language, your speakers, your background noise) and read the transcript and summary of the first 30 seconds. Free, no account.
