Trying AI Sales Coaching Before a CRM Integration
You can learn a lot from one recording before connecting a sales tool to the CRM. Check the transcript, the speaker labels and the coaching observations first. If those are useful, decide how the tool should fit the rest of your team's work.
“No integration” describes that starting point. It doesn't mean your company has no setup or approval decisions to make.
Start with the output
Choose a recording that represents your usual calls. Include the languages, product terms and audio conditions your reps work with. Ask a rep and manager to review the result together.
Can they find what the customer asked? Does the summary capture the agreed next step? Can they open the passage behind a coaching observation?
Upload a recording to inspect the meeting output, or use several sales calls to review recurring themes.
Live guidance needs a separate check
A saved recording cannot show whether a prompt is useful during a conversation. For that, try the desktop app on the device and meeting platform a rep uses.
Check installation permissions, microphone and system audio access and whether the rep can read the guidance without losing track of the conversation. Managed company devices may need administrator approval.
The iOS app records meetings through the microphone. It does not record phone calls.
Bring IT the actual scope
Explain whether the trial involves a file upload, a desktop installation or a connection to another service. List the people taking part and the data they will use. Your IT team can then review a concrete request.
Keep the security information available for that discussion:
| Question | Teneks answer |
|---|---|
| Where is the data stored? | Hosting in Azure France Central (EU), daily backups replicated to Azure West Europe. Where each sub-processor processes data is listed on the security page. |
| Is it encrypted? | TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest. |
| How long is audio kept, and can we delete it? | 30 days by default, configurable per customer. Deletion on request at any time. |
| Who at the vendor can access our recordings? | No Teneks employee can see your recordings or transcripts. The only access path is the founder, for support, under confidentiality obligations. If a designated account manager is ever assigned, they are bound by NDA and you are notified first. |
| Is our content used to train models? | No. Only anonymised, aggregated usage data (page views, feature use) is used for platform improvement. Audio, transcripts and analytics are never used. |
| Certifications? | Teneks does not hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 today. Both are listed as planned on the security page. A security white paper is available on request for procurement and legal reviews. |
Check the current security information and your company's requirements before using customer recordings. Keep the trial within the access and recording policies your team has agreed.
Add integrations when you know what they should do
If the trial is useful, write down the next task. You might want agreed actions added to the CRM, access managed centrally or call outcomes joined to the analysis.
Those tasks have different requirements. Ask which connections are necessary, who configures them and how you will check the result. An integration list tells you what is available; it doesn't tell you what your rollout needs.
Start with enough setup to evaluate the work. Expand once the team knows which output it wants to use every week.
Try it on a call of your own
Everything above is easy to claim and easy to check. Drop in a real recording (your language, your speakers, your background noise) and read the transcript and summary of the first 30 seconds. Free, no account.
